A Country-wide IT Mentor Program Is To Be Elaborated
Dr. Károly Szittner, Chief of a Main Department (see photo) of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office has firmed at today press conference that establishing the public administration points and the infrastructure of public service operated by IT mentors will be a subject of New Hungary Program. It was induced by the Budaörs Municipal Office’s announcement to perform a local electronic system for submitting the yearly tax statements. Szittner agreed to the fact that a new public service system could be set up only by the joint cooperation of sectors (state, business, civil) and some branches of the public administration (general, social and others related to employment, education, culture, agriculture, etc.) using their staff together, first of all. His statement falls in with that of the Ministry of Economy and Transport, also currently made public on the topic, which entails a procurement bid for a survey and documentation to elaborate the basic principles of the solution. The public procurement bid specifies that the solution must involve the method IT mentors should be employed, as well as how its multisectoral and mid-sectoral institutionalization would be built up. The current governmental action program does entrain the performance of an all-inclusive integrated public administration program up to July.
