As we know there was no such an IT mentor service in the world which is similar to our service, conception and evolving practice - until now. Of course, we are continously searching for similar institutions. We found the first solution which goals are really close to ours - in Philippine Islands. Gawad Kalinga - a service providing organization working almost half a decade, fighting against poverty in Manila. They give versatile help rising some impoverished, broke settlements, slummed parts of towns. As part of this work IT-mentors are employed who go to the helped small communities to teach the usage of infocommunication devices and services for groups and individuals. The essentials of their method is community development, active participation of people in changing their fortunes. In this method important part is assigned to IT-mentoring.
