About IT-mentor in the 2006 years' budget discussion
kk.jpgThe fact that the IT-mentor has come up in the debate of the budget 2006 in the parliament undisputedly signals the importance of the topic. The financial experts say that something that is missing from the budget doesn't exist. If we reverse it,everything exists that is in the budget .In that case we can trust that with the - at least a part of - financial support the government accepts that to supply communal access to the internet is their duty. The representatives of the Ministry of Informatics, Kálmán Kovács,minister(photo no.1) and György Csepeli, state secretary (photo no.2) described the role of IT-mentor in the developement of the society lively. There is an extract from the csepeligyorgy.jpgspeech of György Csepeli. "...the whole IT-mentor net ,which the minister spoke about in the morning, is a tele-house initiative, and we would really like if each e-Hungary-point or each tele-house had an assistant to help citizens cope with the enormous quantity of information flooding on them pressing the "enter"-button,as it works in Austria. The speed of tehcnical changes is really high, people live in terrible uncertainty as it is a field that changes week-by-week. It is not like agriculture. Last time I already talked about pigs, one of my favourite examples of unchanging subjects. If you looked at a pig 300 years ago or digs out the skeleton of one of them, will find exactly the same kind of pig which is in your pigsty now. On the contrary a 30 years old computer is so extremely far from today's as the present one is from the tomorrow's one, which exceeds the ability of people to cope with changes .
