Mr. László Kárpáti (dr) (see attached photo) Head of the Computer Centre of Keszthely University of Agriculture manages the team which has the task to build up a comprehensive consultancy system and network on development of agriculture and rural areas. The service - meeting the EU requirements – should start to work in January 2007, reaching all farmers and plants. No doubt, in this system the IT-mentors will get significant roles to help the farmers, the colleagues of the agricultural plants in the usage of the network possibilities and services. Workgroups have been organized to set up the new consultancy system. Their task is to form the new system based on the existing institutions, services. In this process – on the basis of the experience of the first meeting - the community access points must get a role. The demand is not only obvious, but the personality of Mr. Kárpáti – who is an active participant of the Hungarian TeleHouse campaign since the 90s - is the guarantee for the up-to-date solution.
